History and Examination

chiropractic-care-3237.jpg

The first thing we get from our patients is a thorough, comprehensive history and examination. The key to delivering the best care possible, is to get to the exact cause of the condition. This cannot be accomplished without knowing the patient’s health history and performing an examination. The history entails everything from information regarding your current condition, as well as past personal and family health history. The examination consists of evaluating the full body for postural abnormalities, lack of movement patterns and neuro-musculo-skeletal function. Treatment plan is then determined through these findings.

At LifeForce Health Center our focus is to return the body back toward normal function.

General Wellness

Our first and foremost goal is to address any acute conditions going on with our clients. Following the acute phase of treatment, we shift our goals toward prevention and general wellness.  We present the patient with advice and recommendations toward their lifestyle to make prevent future conditions from arising.  Whether it is exercise advise or nutrition advise, we want our client’s to be healthy. Often, clients choose to continue to be seen for maintenance chiropractic care.

Functional Movement Screens

Improving joint biomechanics is not only something you will constantly hear from us, but it is one of the most important aspects of preventing injury. Biomechanics are simply how the body moves. We take time to assess how each joint in the body is functioning. A decrease in joint function will often lead to imbalances in muscles and compensations from elsewhere in the body. These imbalances and compensations are often the root cause of musculoskeletal conditions patients. The quicker we can identify these, and the quicker we can correct them, the more we decrease the risk of getting injured. Screening for functional movement is how we assess these joints. Through these screens we can identify the structure that is not moving properly, thus leading to other parts of the body, thus leading to over-compensation.
